Mar 1, 2018 - Tigers in Hua Hin, Thailand

The Hua Hin Safari Park was the best place to get up and personal with the Tigers.

Look at this White Tiger - she is so beautiful and loves having me pet her.

And this baby white tiger is only 2 months old - she is so cute

And then there was this bigger tiger that was a little more dangerous, but just as beautiful

And the largest tiger was actually a Liger, which is half Tiger and half Lion.  This guy was huge, but also very calm.

Feb 21, 2018 - Krabi, Thailand

Krabi is a resort area further South in Thailand.  We drove 8 hours from our house in Hua Hin straight south to a hotel in Krabi.  Here we are on our first night at Krabi have supper on the beach while the sun set.

Krabi is known for it "Long-tail" boats.  There are many small islands that these taxi boats took us to.

We toured the small islands near Krabi.  The water was so clear we could see fish everywhere.

I also tried Paddle Boarding, and maybe it isn't my thing

Feb 20, 2018 - Elephants in Thailand

Thailand is known for its Elephants.  They used to use Elephants to do much of the work, but they don't use them to work anymore and now try to protect the Elephants.  There are many Elephant sanctuaries where we can enjoy them in their natural habitat.

One day we went on an Elephant safari to try to find Elephants in the wild.

Along the way, we found some beautiful waterfalls in the national park

Then we went to an Elephant Foundation where they look after Elephants that need extra help. We got to walk the Elephants, feed them, and wash them. They are such beautiful animals.

Feb 17, 2018 - Hua Hin Black Mountain Waterpark

While in a hot place, what better way to cool off then going to the water park with friends. I couldn't believe how much fun this water park was - much better then I expected.

Feb 9, 2018 - Crazy Monkeys

Today we visited Monkey Mountain where we were surrounded by hundreds of monkeys.  They tried to break into the car.  Monkeys are cute but where there are too many it gets crazy.

Feb 4, 2018 - Hua Hin, Thailand - Home away from Home

Hua Hin is another city in Thailand but it is much smaller then Bankok.  It is much easier for my dad to drive us around Hua Hin.  We rented a house to live in for the month of February.

The best thing about this house was the pool and palm trees

Hua Hin is also on the ocean, so there are lots of beaches to go to.  Oh, and did I tell you we also met up with my best friend Kyja.

We also found yellow watermelon and the most tasty pineapple ever

Feb 3, 2018 - Hello Thailand - First: "One night in Bankok"

This year our family went to Thailand to escape the cold Canadian winter and learn about the people and culture on the otherside of the world.  The time in Thailand is 14 hours ahead of the time in Alberta.  At first that was very confusing and it took a long time for our bodies to adjust to the time change.

Our flight from Edmonton left at 7:30 AM from Edmonton on Jan 31, 2018.  We made a short stop in Vancouver and then a long 12 hour flight to Shanghai, China.  Wow, I have never been on a plane for so long.

I was trying to learn some Chinese language and practice eating with chopsticks while we were in China since we had about 6 hours to wait at the airport.

Then our final flight to Bankok, Thailand was a few more hours and we landed at 1AM, on Friday Feb 2.  We totally skipped Feb 1st.

Bankok is a huge city of 9 million people and it seems most of them drive scooter style motor cycles.  My dad rented a car and we drove around in Bankok - the driving is crazy.

We actually spent three days in Bankok.
On Friday we visited Bethel:
Bethel means "house of God".  Here are some pictures from our visit to the Bankok bethel

On Saturday we went shopping in the biggest market ever: called Jakarta (Chatuchak) market. Apparently there are 15,000 little shops. We needed gps to find our way around the market.

On Sunday we went to an English Assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses.  To our amazement, we met friends from Edmonton that we didn't know were visiting in Thailand.

After the Assembly, we left Bankok and drove to the house we rented in Hua Hin, which was about a 3 hour drive.
