Camping in Jasper

We had a great time camping in Jasper this month.  We saw animals such as Elk, Deer, and Squirrels.  We hiked and rode bicycles.  We sat around the campfire and we even watched a movie on the big screen.  Let me show you our fun in these videos.

Mount Edith Cavell:
On the first day of our trip, we hiked up Mount Edith Cavell where there is a large glacier.  A glacier is a large chunk of ice on the top of the mountain.  Along the way, my friends taught me how to build an Inukshuk.

Glacier Skywalk:
On day two, we drove to the new Skywalk in Jasper National Park.  It was a glass floor that is 300 M (900 ft) high above the valley.  It was a little scary, but also fun.  I was pretty scared that day.

Patricia Lake:
On the third day we visited a beautiful lake called Patricia lake.  The water was clear, but cool.  We saw some elk bathing in the lake.

Maligne Canyon:
On the forth day we hiked along Maligne Canyon.  This is a deep narrow canyon that a creek carved into the mountain.  It is amazing how the water erodes the rocks away to create a beautiful canyon like this.  There were many waterfalls along the way and a thick carpet of moss on the ground.

Summertime Fun 2014

It is hot this summer.  Here are some videos of the fun things we did.

Adventures at Cortes Island

Yesterday we went on a Boat Trip from where my Grandpa lives in Comox, BC, to an Island called Cortes.

Cortes is an Island that is between Vancouver Island and the rest of BC.  Here is a satelite picture of the Island:

Boat Trip to Cortes Island:
Our new friend, Kurt Kosh, took us in his boat across the ocean to the Island.  We started at a boat launch near Comox.  On the way we did some fishing where there water was 200 feet deep.

When we got to the Cortes Island, we found many types of fish along the sea shore.  There were Oysters, clams, crabs, and lots of beautiful Jelly Fish.

Then we went to a beach with white sand that was on a lake on the Island.  The water was so warm that I swam in the water for 3 hours.

Arysa Visit's Banff

Hi Friends,

It has been a long time since I last updated my adventures.  This week we went to Banff, Alberta.  Banff is a fun town in the mountains.  The scenery is great - I love the mountains.  My brothers went Skiing at the Sunshine Ski Resort, and I went shopping downtown.

I also love to swim, so I went swimming in the hotel pool, and the Banff Hotsprings.

We stayed at the Inns of Banff hotel with my cousins and Aunty Cindy and Uncle Mark in a condo with 4 bedrooms.  Here is a video of me swimming in the hotel pool.

We also went to the Banff Hotsprings where the water is hot because it comes out of the ground.  The pool is outside.  Since it was cold out, it was really steamy.

After we were at the hotsprings, it started to snow really heavy.  We saw a bear made of snow.  Here is a video of the snow-bear.

Even though I do like swimming, there is one thing that I like to do more then swimming - SHOPPING!
